The latest round of WWE rumors deals with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Roman Reigns, and Randy Orton, so let's dive right into the reports.
The Wrestling Observer reports WWE will bill Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Royal Rumble as the final match between the two. They've already started to do this on Monday Night Raw. The two fought back in 2003 but since Lesnar's return to WWE in 2012, they have fought at Extreme Rules in 2012, SummerSlam in 2014 and Night of Champions in 2014. The latter two matches were for the title.
Randy Orton is expected to return at Monday Night Raw next week. Many expected him to return at TLC to cost Seth Rollins his match with John Cena, but Roman Reigns returned instead. This was reportedly going to be Orton's spot, but WWE decided to make the change for whatever reason. Orton is reportedly scheduled to work with Kane when he returns, if only at house shows.
WWE is also reportedly still forging ahead with its plans for Roman Reigns in the buildup to WrestleMania 31. Reigns will apparently have a short program with Big Show. The giant reportedly beat Erick Rowan at TLC in order to make him look strong for when Reigns defeats him on his path to Brock Lesnar, in a similar manner to the way Lesnar destroyed Show prior to his victory over The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30.
There are also some reports now that Reigns will still win the Royal Rumble and win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Mania, but The Wrestling Observer reports some within the business are skeptical that he is ready for such a spotlight.
