Rumors suggest that Lil Wayne remains in an on-and-off again relationship with "Dip It Low" songstress, Christina Milian. After dumping her longtime fiance Jas Prince, apparently Milian began hooking-up with the YMCMB rapper. Now, is the hip-hop mogul jealous and out to seek some (expensive) revenge?
Back in 2013 (before the dating drama even began), Prince filed a lawsuit against Cash Money Records, insisting that the label still owed him $5 million in backpay from rapper Drake's royalties. Prince allegedly "discovered" the Toronto emcee in 2007 and initially signed him to Aspire Music Group. When CM showed interest, Prince agreed to hand-over Drizzy's contract as long as the label agreed to "pay 22% of all Drake's advances, net profits and other advances" to himself and Aspire.
Well, that supposedly didn't happen, and Prince filed for breach of contract unpaid royalties. A nasty legal battle has ensued ever since, with Aspire even conducting an audit of Cash Money...
But turns out, Prince might be the guy who owes some hefty cash...
Turns out that Weezy's manager Cortez Bryant recently filed a lawsuit of his own, claiming that Prince should pay back $2 million that was wrongfully sent to him.
What?
Gossip guru Jasmine Brand reports:
"According to the docs filed, Bryant claims that Jas has been paid his percentage from all money they received from Cash Money. However, he says that it hasn't been much because Cash Money hasn't paid them what's due. Bryant states that Aspire is owed millions of dollars from Drake's music royalties."
Bottom line, Aspire is owed funds. But to make matters worse, when Prince first filed his lawsuit, Cash Money allegedly sent over $2 million. However, that money should've been sent to Aspire, NOT Prince. So...
Confusing? Sort of. Wonder what Wayne thinks about all of this considering he's not on the best of terms with Cash Money right now...
