50 Cent is not dead though the rumor that began on September 1, 2012 suggests that the rapper had gotten into a fatal car accident.  The website Global Associated News once again virtually killed another celebrity.

The article read, "He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics responding to the vehicle accident and was identified by photo ID found on his body. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a factor in this accident."

"Highway Safety Investigators have told reporters that 50 Cent lost control while driving a friend's vehicle on Interstate 80 and rolled the vehicle several times killing him instantly."

Under the story, there was a disclaimer that read, "Fake ...This story is 100% fake! This is an entertainment website, and this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes."

The same site has also targeted other celebrities including Eddie Murphy.  Other recent death hoax involved celebrities Bill Cosby and Rihanna.

Though the start of some of the rumors may be out of pure entertainment, many people do not find them funny.

Cosby once told CNN in August 2010, "I don't want [the person who spread the rumor] to do this anymore, because this is my fourth time being reported [dead]."  The fifth death hoax for Cosby occurred this August of this year.

Death hoax may have been entertaining for a short time for some people, but it is starting to feel old.  As more appear, fewer people will believe them.
