Is the world ready for more Miranda Priestly? Well, ready or not, here she comes. One of the stars of the flick, Emily Blunt, does say that she is on board for a sequel to the 2006 film The Devil Wear Prada. Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and Blunt starred in the blockbuster film, and while a book sequel has already been published, a film follow-up has yet to be in production. However, the star of Into The Woods is saying that she would definitely be up to star in the sequel.
According to E! News, Blunt revealed that she is definitely open to be part of the sequel should all her co-stars want to do it as well.
"I would do it, but only if everyone did it," the star explained. "I don't know why it hasn't been done, but everyone's got to do it."
However, while an onscreen reunion between Miranda and everyone's favorite bitchy fashion assistant might be a little far off, Blunt and Streep are joining forces on the big screen for another adaptation which is coming out in the next couple of days.
The stars get together for the Stephen Sondheim classic, Into the Woods, which hits theaters on Christmas Day. Blunt plays The Baker's Wife, while Meryl takes on the role of The Witch. Her portrayal has even earned her a Golden Globe nomination for the production.
While the Hollywood Foreign Press thinks that Blunt's vocal performance in the flick is award worthy, she did reveal on The Ellen Show that her husband John Krasinski had never heard her sing prior to seeing her in the movie.
"As I was going to the audition he said, 'Sing it for me. And I went 'no!' Emily told the audience. "He said he'd never seen me so nervous."
Blunt along co-stars Meryl, and Anna Kendrick, who also appeared on the talk show, showed off some of their truly hysterical vocal warm up for Ellen.
