Is there about to be a Christmas miracle for Kate Hudson and her former boyfriend, Matthew Bellamy? The couple called it quits early this month, but the lovebirds were spotted together just in time for the holidays as they headed out together in Aspen, Colorado. But before we jump to any conclusions regarding the status of their relationship, it seems that the reunion might not be as romantic as fans of the couple are hoping.

According to E! News, the pair spent the day together in the ski village as they went shopping and even grabbed some coffee and baked goods at the local bakery.

"They seemed very cordial," a source told the news site. "Friends are with them. Kate's brother is there too. Overall, it looks very friendly and not romantic."

While they may not be romantic anymore, the couple is still expected to spend the holidays at Hudson's home in Colorado. The actress told Access Hollywood when asked about her plans for the holiday that her family always gets together where she grew up.

"We always go home," the star told the news site. "I grew up in Colorado and we always [go] back to Colorado. The whole family comes- my brothers and all of the kids and at some point during Christmas we all get together and do that."

The couple spent the last Christmas holiday in the UK, where they got together with Muse front man Matthew Bellamy's family, but it seems that Matt is spending his time with Kate and her family this year.

As for what the Hudson family does on the holiday, Kate explained, "We're [a] super traditional Christmas family. Mom and I decorate the house. We make snowmen- kind of magical."
