With The Flash on its winter break on the CW network, it's the perfect time to look back on the successful DC Comics crossover event. In an uneasy alliance, Grant Gustin (Barry Allen), Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen), and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) discovered what the biggest weakest is, their greatest strengths are, and a shocking discovery is The Flash vs. Arrow.

In our previous recap, the Arrow is searching for clues about a mysterious killer who uses boomerangs. The investigation strays when Barry needs help with his metahuman. Oliver's training comes to a halt when the Flash ends up losing control after the Rainbow Raider hits him with his powers.

Here are our 5 thoughts on the crossover event:

1) Batman vs. Superman

Though the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel are supposed to fight on the big screen, audiences got something close to that on their television. Amell captured the caped crusader's brooding qualities, while Gustin represented the Kyrptionian's positive outlook. Even Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) compared the Arrow vigilante to Batman, referring to Starling City's recent terrorist attacks.

2) The Comic Relief

Usually Diggle (David Ramsey) is a serious and no-nonsense type of guy on Arrow. But in his guest appearance, Diggle had the funniest lines, "I had a cousin who was hit by lightning, All he got was a stutter." Like all curious fanboys, Digg had to ask, "How fast does The Flash go when he's in the bathroom?"

3) More Team-Up

The team-up between Caitlin Show (Danielle Panabaker) and Felicity was really smart. I especially like seeing Caitlin and Iris (Candice Patton) in a scene together during the mid-season finale. I'd liked to see the female characters on the show interact with each other more.

4) He Cheated

In the pilot, we discover Harrison Wells is some kind of time-traveler, who's trying to keep the future intact. After failing to convince Felicity to give up the Arrow's name, Wells found another way to discover the green archer's secret identity. Who wants to bet he used his time-traveling device to find out the truth?

5) The Son He Never Knew

As we previously mentioned, audiences were going to discover a major shocker from Oliver Queen's past. His ex-girlfriend is living in Central City and she is secretly raising his kid. If Wells knows about the Arrow's secret identity, then he knows about his kid too right? If Wells is the Reverse-Flash, then is Ollie's son in danger too?

The Flash returns to the CW on January 20, 2015. Readers, what did you think of The Flash vs. Arrow crossover?
