"My players are human like all the others. The point is that every match, for us, is fundamental," coach Jose Mourinho said of Chelsea squad. "You can't choose matches where we have more chances to win than others. If they are in good condition, they play. It will be difficult for Southampton and us. But before this match I had the feeling I have every Boxing Day: so proud. We get the salaries we get because people are in love with the game. If people want football, we have to give them football."

Meanwhile, Southampton's coach, Ronald Koeman, believes his rejuvenated squad can topple the league leaders this weekend.
"I am a coach who will try always to win and we respect our opponent, Chelsea, and they have fantastic football players but it's 11 against 11," he said after the Boxing Day victory against Crystal Palace. "We try to do everything to win that game. We know it will be very difficult but it isn't impossible, and that means that we will believe we can win against them."
