It's the last week of the NFL regular season! A pair of playoff-bound NFC North foes will do battle for the NFC North division championship, as the Green Bay Packers take on division foe Detroit Lions on the turf at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin on Sunday, December 28 at 4.25 p.m. EST as we kick off in Week 17, the last of the 2014 NFL regular season. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of Sunday afternoon's game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.
Wrapping-up the 2014 regular season, the Packers will look to quarterback Aaron Rodgers — and his lucky charm, Newsroom actor girlfriend Olivia Munn — and star running back Eddie Lacy to give them some more momentum as they head into the playoffs after last week's 20-3 win over Tampa Bay. The Lions, meanwhile, will be relying on QB Matthew Stafford and superstar wide receiver Calvin "Megatron' Johnson to push them to the top of the NFC North and into a first round playoff bye.
The Packers are sitting right near the top of Matt Miller's official NFL power rankings for Bleacher Report, taking out the No. 3 position with their 11-4 winning record, while the Lions sit at No. 6 with their similar 11-4 record.
Of the Lions, in his power rankings Miller says: "The Lions have clinched a playoff berth, so they'll be alive for another week no matter what happens in Week 17. But sweeping the Packers and winning the NFC North would be a perfect ending to Jim Caldwell's first year as head coach."
"The Lions have the talent on both sides of the ball and are healthy enough heading into the finale to give the Packers a scary matchup. This is the game to watch next week."
As for the home team Packers, Miller says: "The Packers are among the league's most talented teams, but the offense has been running at less than full speed the past two weeks. If quarterback Aaron Rodgers is over the cold that affected him in Week 16, the Green Bay offense is a good matchup against Detroit. But the Packers must score more than the seven points they managed when the two teams met in Week 3."
"Win and they'll have a home playoff game. Maybe even a bye. The pressure is on for Green Bay."
With Rodgers and Stafford doing battle for the NFC North division championship, and a playoff bye on line, this will be a game not to miss.
The game will be broadcasted live on FOX, but fans can also listen in on the radio at 620 WTMJ, The Fan 107.5 WDUZ-FM, WIXX, 97.1 The Ticket and CBS Sports Radio 1270.
