Despite ongoing issues with Cash Money Records, infamous New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne still considers himself one of the top emcees in the game. Not many other hip-hop artists can compete with Weezy, Kanye West, and Beyonce!
In a recent interview with Nylon Guys, the "How To Love" crooner explains his leading role within the industry:
"When I first started doing it, you only did it to be the best- not to have a hot song or popularity or for Instagram or Twitter. I'm one of the last of a dying breed...the ones who are only about the music. You have to want to be unforgettable. The only other people who I can think of like that are Kanye [West] and Beyonce."
He continued, "I was always ready for the call. That's the best way to explain it. Wayne's always ready. When it's my turn, I make way more than the most of it. If you're ready when they call you, and you make the most of your time, then they'll never stop calling you."
Do MstarsNews readers agree? Wonder if this is another direct blow at Cash Money mogul Birdman. Rumors suggest that 32-year-old Wayne recently threatened legal action if his boss refuses to release Weezy's highly-anticipated new album, The Carter V. The "Only" superstar remains loyal to his YMCMB crew, but the ongoing beef continues...
Will the hostile feud ever get resolved, and will fans get to hear some new Weezy beats soon? Hopefully...

Meanwhile, Wayne talked about one of his other big passions in the exclusive interview... smoking marijuana:
"I don't know how it works, but I know that I need weed...extra when I'm creating. It helps in a major way."
Stay tuned...
