While Kanye West and Jay-Z rock a close friendship both in and outside of the recording studio, their better halves, Kim Kardashian and Beyoncé Knowles, apparently don't seem to get along so well. While both women showed up to support their men at this past weekend's Made in America Festival, sources claim that neither starlet took the time to really hang out or even acknowledge the other.
One inside source present at the Philadelphia music festival tells the New York Daily News, "Kim and Beyoncé barely spoke to each other. They were on opposite sides of the stage. Beyoncé didn't even acknowledge [Kardashian] was there until the concert was almost over."
The source goes on to claim that Kardashian met the chilly reception in a similar fashion, making no effort of her own to go speak to the "Countdown" singer.
Even after the insider insists that both starlets began to make small talk in the dressing room later on, "You could tell Kim was uncomfortable. She clung onto Kanye the entire time and didn't say much."
According to one member of Beyoncé's inner circle (as reported by The Chicago Sun-Times), "[Beyoncé]'s a strong personality and makes her opinions very clear, but she's not into what I'd call 'personal flamboyance' - like what you see from the Kardashians. ... You will never see Beyoncé doing a reality show - that's for sure. You know what I'm saying?"
Hmm, so is it their "different lifestyles" that keeps Beyoncé and Kardashian from being so buddy-buddy like their hubbies? Even so, does that give Kim K the excuse to not wish the "4" star a "Happy 31st Birthday" on the big day? Well, she didn't (Beyoncé's birthday was on Tuesday).
Is a new "frenemy" relationship brewing in Hollywood?
