Iranian actress Nazanin Boniadi is gaining interest as a Vanity Fair cover story claimed that she was once Tom Cruise's love interest pre-Katie Holmes era. Here are some fun facts about Boniadi.

She is dubbed the "Persian Audrey Hepburn."

She was born in Tehran and raised in London and later settled in the U.S. after studying in the the University of California Irvine.

According to her website, she wanted to be study to become a physician, however she ended up pursuing her passion, acting.

She is fluent in English and her native language Farsi.

She is the spokesperson for Amnesty International USA.

She has appeared in U.S. soap operas including General Hospital back in 2007 to 2009 and How I Met Your Mother in 2011.
