This week, Google released its top trending lists of 2014. Of these lists, some were pretty interesting, so we've chosen one to share with you today. The most searched video game of 2014 happens to be the biggest video game of the year, Destiny. All of the hype, Beta testing and gameplay trailers added up to the number one spot on Google Trends, but what other titles made the list? Should we treat this like a "best of" list? Check it out below and see for yourself!

Even though Destiny hit shelves in September, it took over Google searches for the entire year. A fall release means plenty of time in the year to showoff new footage in teaser trailers and demos. Destiny is not a surprising winner for 2014.
In the number two spot, we have Titanfall. Perhaps an equally hyped game, this title was released in March of 2014, meaning we stopped spending time searching for new footage of the game earlier in the year. It was definitely one of the biggest games of the year, though, and possibly the second best on many lists out there!
The next video game on this list isn't surprising either, but the reaction from gamers differs from the other two mentioned above. Watch Dogs was a very talked about, searchable game in 2014, but gamers weren't too happy with it. Perhaps people were looking up reviews of the game all year to make sure they weren't the only ones thinking it was a let down?
