USA Network has officially aired the series finale of White Collar. This is the perfect opportunity to look back on season 6 and see how Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer), Peter Burke (Tim DeKay), and Elizabeth Burke (Tiffani Thiessen) delivered the last con to their characters.
As we previously mentioned, the sixth season began with Peter (DeKay) rescuing Neal (Bomer) after he was kidnapped. While Neal found a way to infiltrate the crime syndicate, the Pink Panthers, Elizabeth came back with a wonderful announcement. While Peter basked in the news, his future as a father came to a halt when Matthew Keller (Ross McCall) returned.
Here are our 5 thoughts on the last three episodes of White Collar's Season 6:
1) The Little Moments
Clinton (Sharif Atkins) had a conversation with Peter about fatherhood and his mother being mad at him for not finding the right girl yet. I really enjoyed seeing Elizabeth and Diana (Marsha Thomason) spoke about motherhood and the fear of raising a child alone. It's these little moments that last a long time with viewers.
So Mozzie (Willie Garson) married a con artist like himself. How am I not surprised? I did like how Neal and Peter explained to Mozzie what was going to happen and how he would've been framed. Don't forget to check out our MStars Interview with Mozzie himself.
3) The Shot Heard Round The World
This season we saw Peter and Neal under the gun from characters with itchy trigger fingers. We have seen Peter take out his gun, but we have never seen him so hardcore. Knowing this was the man who kidnapped his wife and could do harm to his own son, Peter put a bullet to Keller's head.
4) Baby Neal
How adorable was it to see Elizabeth and Mozzie feeding baby Neal. What cracked me up was Mozzie telling his previous crime tale as a bedtime story. Even if Neal hadn't passed away, I still think Peter and Elizabeth would have named their boy after him.
In a very satisfying conclusion, Peter discovered Neal had faked his own death. After putting everything together, Peter has a smile on his face, realizing the chase is still on. As we previously reported, Bomer and DeKay originally came up with that open-ending that would certainly please the fans.
White Collar delivered its last episode on USA. Readers, what do you think of the last three episodes?
