American Idol judge and "Booty" singer Jennifer Lopez has revealed the nature of her break up with husband Marc Anthony made her feel like she was going to die. During her brand new HBO documentary Jennifer Lopez: Dance Again — which follows the 45 year old superstar singer/actress on her world tour — the singer opens up about the pair's split in 2011, and talks about its affect on their two children, twins Max and Emme. Diminutive singer Anthony has since remarried, this time to Shannon De Lima.
As The Daily Mail report, "I remember being on the set and being in my dressing room and not feeling like I could get up in the morning and there's just no pain like that," the American Idol judge explained.
"There's no pain or failure like going through a divorce. That hope, that dream, that fairytale, with that first time that dream gets blown to pieces, you feel like you're going to die."
"You feel like you failed. You feel like no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make it work."
As SF Gate explain, Anthony and Lopez announced their "separation in 2011 after seven years together, and Anthony filed for divorce in 2012, with the union officially dissolved last June."
It was J-Lo's third marriage to end, following her unions with Ojani Noa and Cris Judd, along with high profile relationships with Sean 'P Diddy' Combs and Ben Affleck.
According to Marie Claire, however, that Lopez "also revealed that her twins, Max and Emme, struggled with being away from their father while traveling with her on tour."
But, the magazine points out, "their family reunited at its conclusion in Puerto Rico, where Lopez invited Anthony onstage to perform "No Me Ames."
In the documentary Lopez added that "There's still love there and I think that's a big statement for people to see."
"It says we've moved on and we're healthy....We took this journey and we're better. We survived."
