Smoltz, as ESPN point out, was "the 1996 NL Cy Young winner, was 213-155 with 154 saves, the only pitcher with 200 wins and 150 saves. He went 15-4 in the postseason."
Biggio, as per ESPN, "had 3,060 hits in 20 big league seasons, all with the Houston Astros."

As Sports Illustrated say, "Johnson, nicknamed The Big Unit for his towering 6-foot-10 frame, was one of the most feared pitchers in the game during his prime." He also had one of the greatest mullet/mustache combinations in the history of the game, and won the 2001 World Series MVP (a co-winner with Curt Schilling) when the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the New York Yankees.
Meanwhile, legendary eight-time All-Star and three-time Cy Young winner Red Sox pitcher Martinez reportedly received "91.1 percent of the vote." As Sports Illustrated say, "Martinez played an integral part of the 2004 Boston Red Sox team that won the franchise's first World Series in 86 years." They add that "His 1999 season with Boston remains one of the greatest pitching seasons in modern baseball history."
