It looks like Seinfeld-a-holics may be getting into the medical profession, because it's being reported that a class at New Jersey's Rutgers University allows medical students to watch the famed NBC comedy from Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David in order to learn about psychiatry. Who knew that for nine brilliant seasons not only were we getting some of the best comedy that television has ever offered, but we were also getting a Ph. D in psychiatry? Wonder if this will come up on the next season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee? Since the famed comic just ended his Season 5 (with guest star Jimmy Fallon) it seems we'll have to wait and see!

NJ.com is reporting that at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, several medical students prep their mornings with some coffee, clipboards and Cosmo Kramer.

"Jerry's girlfriend doesn't like George [Costanza]," one student notes, adding, "And he just couldn't live with the idea of this person not liking him."

While it seems like an everyday discussion one may have with their friends (at least, back in the 90s when that specific episode of Seinfeld first aired), these students discuss it for their class aptly named "Psy-feld."

As the Garden State's publication notes, for two days a week, "third- and fourth-year medical students in the hospital's psychiatric rotation are assigned to watch the 6 p.m. episode of Seinfeld on TBS. They begin rounds the following morning by discussing what psychopathology was demonstrated on the episode."

Readers, what do you think? Can we learn enough from Seinfeld to be psychiatric professionals? Tell us your thoughts below.
