Bethenny Frankel might think that her return to The Real Housewives of New York is going to be a pleasant one, but it looks like producers have a trick up their sleeves to make it dramatic for the star. It is being reported that Bethenny might have to face off once again with her enemy Kelly Bensimon on the series, at least according to casting rumors. The two haven't been on camera with each other since season 3, which featured everyone's favorite moments from "scary island."
According to Radar Online, the producers are trying everything in their power to shake up the series and they feel that playing off the Bethenny and Kelly drama that was popular in season 2 and 3, would be just the thing to do it.
"Producers are planning to sabotage her," a source explained of Bethenny. "They want to bring back Kelly for a few episodes."
While the return won't be full time yet, we are sure that this is not going to go over well with Bethenny.
It has already been reported by the New York Daily News that Bethenny and the other co-stars are playing it safe this season, as they don't want to do anything that could jeopardize their businesses.
"They brought Bethenny to save the franchise, but she's so careful about protecting her brand," the source explained. "She won't be confrontational on camera like the first time around."
It seems that the producers are doing everything they can to bring out that side of Frankel again and it might even include a visit from her former friend Jill Zarin.
"Jill had said she would come back on to confront Bethenny after their notorious fight, when ratings were at a high, and producers wanted to make it happen all for ratings," the site stated.
However it doesn't seem like this is Andy Cohen will let Zarin walk back onto the series, as the site reported that, "he won't let her back in any way, even if she were to be a part time Housewife."
