It's finally that time of year - hockey season!
The New York Islanders battle it out on the ice against the New Jersey Devils in Week 13 of the NHL regular season on Friday, January 9 at 7:00 p.m. EST at the Prudential Center in Newark. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the Friday night hockey game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.
Following the first few opening weeks of the 2014-2015 regular season, the Islanders snag the impressive No. 5 spot in Pierre LeBrun's official NHL power ranking for ESPN.com with a 26-13-1 record:
"OK, so they lost to the lowly Oilers on Sunday night. Hey, someone has to lose to them once in a while. That doesn't take away from the awesome season the Isles are having."
Meanwhile, the Devils currently hold the meager No. 27 spot (out of 30 total teams) with a 15-21-7 record. According to LeBrun:
"Turns out Peter DeBoer wasn't the problem. Shocking."
The game will be broadcasted live on local channel MSG+, but fans can also listen in on the radio at KWSN, 740 The Fan, WFAN, and 97.1 The Ticket.
