The game kicks off at 8.30 p.m. on Monday Jan. 12 - and will be the biggest game of college football for 2015. Read on below for a preview and to find out where you can watch and stream the bowl game and watch 2014 Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota and third-string QB sensation Cardale Jones go head to head.
The AT&T National College Football Championship Game will feature two of college football's powerhouse programs after Mariota and the Oregon Ducks beat Jameis Winston and FSU in the Rose Bowl 59-20, while the Ohio State Buckeyes and coach Urban Meyer will try to win the NCAA National College Football Championship Game after their amazing come-from-behind 42-35 win over Alabama in the All State Sugar Bowl.
ESPN's Ivan Maisel delivers 10 reasons as to why the Oregon Ducks will win the championship game, including praising their poise and patience. Says Maisel, "Oregon has reached the final of the College Football Playoff by not giving the ball away and by not giving the game away. Opponents have to work for everything they get. Ohio State has plenty of grit. At quarterback, Oregon will have a huge advantage in poise and patience. That alone may be sufficient to show the difference between the Ducks and the Buckeyes."
As for Ohio State, ESPN's Chris Low offers up 10 reasons as to why he believes they will win including having extra motivation as an underdog. Says Low: "The best news for Ohio State fans is that the Buckeyes are the underdog in this game. They've played with a chip on their shoulder ever since most of us counted them out after the Virginia Tech loss. But more than that, coach Urban Meyer has been at his best at Ohio State when his team was an underdog in a big game."
