The January 12, 2015 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw emanates live from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans and begins with John Cena.

Cena explains why he brought back The Authority and says Triple H will only be remembered for being a total sociopath who fired Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, and Erick Rowan. He asks if the crowd wants to see them tonight and tells the fans to use the hashtag #AuthoritySucks to let them know.

Cena says his Plan B is to beat Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins at Royal Rumble and leave as WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He threatens to leave WWE until The Authority flies right.

Right on cue, The Authority comes to the ring. Stephanie McMahon tears into Cena and makes fun of the "take your ball and go home" strategy. Triple H says The Authority used Cena's ego against him to come back to power. He books a lumberjack match against Seth Rollins right now and says if Cena wins, then his fired friends get reinstated.

The match begins, and every lumberjack is a heel. After a ton of interference, capped by Big Show delivering a KO Punch, Rollins pins Cena.

The Usos are talking to Stephanie McMahon when Dean Ambrose enters. Stephanie tries to convince The Usos of Cena's terribleness, and declares Dean Ambrose a threat to himself and others. She forces him to undergo a psych evaluation or else he is not in the Royal Rumble match.

The Miz and Damien Mizdow talk about the Golden Globes and say George Clooney will one day win a Slammy.

Ambrose begins his evaluation.

The New Day defeats Tyson Kidd and Cesaro.

The announcers talk about Macho Man Randy Savage's expected induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. A video airs of numerous wrestlers trying to impersonate him.

We see the video of the Indianapolis Colts' locker room celebration inspired by Rick Flair. We also learn of a Raw reunion next week featuring Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and Flair.

Big Show hits the ring and talks about his time in WCW. He eventually gets to Roman Reigns and says he is no threat at all. Reigns comes through the crowd and Show bails. Reigns asks where he's going and talks some trash at the giant. Reigns then fights Luke Harper and beats him with a spear as Harper goes for the discus clothesline. Big Show enters the ring and knocks out Reigns.

Miz and Mizdow talk about the Golden Globes some more and mention Boyhood. Mizdow talks about a project he is working on entitled Manhood, a film in which Mizdow lives his life for six months and cameras follow him.

Alicia Fox defeats Naomi, who has one arm tied behind her back. Naomi gets some offense in, but Alicia ends it with a scissors kick.

Ambrose continues his evaluation. The doctor shows him some pictures and does word association, which leads to hilarious responses. Ambrose also calls Roman Reigns "brother."

Brock Lesnar hits the ring with Paul Heyman, who does his typical magic. He talks about the Beast defeating Undertaker in this city last year and says Lesnar will introduce Cena and Rollins to harsh reality during their contract signing later in the night.

The Miz defeats Jey Uso with the Skull Crushing Finale.

Daniel Bryan hits the ring to a thunderous reaction. He remarks that something feels familiar about all this and talks about his WrestleMania 30 victory in New Orleans. He declared for the Royal Rumble two weeks ago, and now he declares he will win it and go to main event this year's WrestleMania no matter what The Authority says.

Stephanie McMahon comes out and gives Daniel Bryan a copy of her workout DVD. She talks about Bryan's victory and his subsequent injury. She shows the clip of Kane delivering three Tombstones to Bryan last April. She says real A+ players stay on top.

Steph says the people believe in him because he is an average Joe like the rest of them, but she asks if he believes in himself. He answers with the Yes! chant. Bryan says Stephanie doesn't understand him because he was not born with the silver spoon. He will not stop fighting alongside the people no matter what.

Stephanie says Bryan is not smart enough to listen to reason, so he will compete on the first Thursday night edition of SmackDown against Kane. Bryan attacks Kane before he even gets to the ring, but Kane quickly gains the upper hand. He tries to Tombstone Bryan on the steps, but Bryan gains the advantage and unloads on his former tag team partner. Referees separate them, but Bryan continues the assault. He leads a Yes! chant after Kane leaves up the ramp.

Rollins is backstage gloating about his victory but turns to see Lesnar behind him. Rollins says he is the future, but Lesnar says the future starts when he says so. Heyman interjects and says he has to deal with not just Cena, but Lesnar at Royal Rumble. He says he and Rollins have worked together like gentleman in the past and proposes an alliance to get rid of John Cena and then let the best man win, but Lesnar and Rollins just stare at each other until Lesnar and Heyman leave.

Brie Bella defeats Paige with a roll up after a distraction from Tyson Kidd. Natalya and Nikki Bella were also at ringside. After the match, Paige slaps Tyson, and Nattie smirks.

Bray Wyatt cuts a promo.

WWE officially reveals that Macho Man will be inducted into the Hall of Fame Class of 2015.

The Ascension squash more local talent.

Dean Ambrose is now analyzing the doctor, who is crying on the couch. He gets the doc to sign the form putting him in the Rumble. He makes fun of the doctor a bit and leaves.

Lana is out with Rusev and says Ryback was supposed to fight him tonight, but Ryback got fired. She thanks The Authority for letting him go and also thanks John Cena for failing to get his job back. Lana and Rusev insult him some more, and Rusev says Ryback is lucky he got fired because otherwise Rusev would have tossed him over the top rope along with 28 other men.

Dean Ambrose's music hits! He enters the ring and takes it straight to Rusev. They have a match on the spot on orders of The Authority. The referee stops the match and awards Rusev the victory after he works on Ambrose's injured knee to the point where Ambrose can barely stand. Rusev attacks Ambrose after the bell and celebrates.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are in the ring for the contract signing. They bring out each of the three competitors for the match. Heyman says Rollins constructed the plan to bring The Authority back, and he endorsed it. Rollins thanks him, but Heyman says he wasn't done yet. He concludes by saying Lesnar will destroy whatever comes his way at Royal Rumble.

Rollins says Heyman is upset about the Triple Threat, and Heyman says he is upset because this could turn into a double cross. Rollins questions if Lesnar can't handle a Triple Threat match and then lists his own accomplishments. He also reminds them he has the Money in the Bank briefcase and declares he will walk out with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Rollins signs the contract.

Heyman goes to speak, but Lesnar grabs the mic and says he has beaten the Undertaker, Triple H, and John Cena, so Rollins is no problem. Cena grabs a mic and says Lesnar will get pinned at Royal Rumble and he'll beat down Rollins while he's at it. He signs, then Lesnar signs.

Rollins says Cena's plan to take him out won't work because all of his plans have been failing lately. He goes to attack Cena with the briefcase, but Cena dodges and attacks him. Lesnar delivers a German suplex to Cena and then to Rollins, but Cena recovers and delivers an Attitude Adjustment to Lesnar through the table. Rollins gets back up and Curb Stomps both Cena and Lesnar. He stands on the stage with The Authority as the show goes off the air.
