'Marvel's AKA Jessica Jones' Spoilers: Will Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter Make Netflix Debut In 2016? [WATCH]

With the release date set for Marvel's Daredevil, audiences are eagerly anticipating to binge-watch the next Marvel/Netflix superhero series. Will viewers will get to see leading lady Krysten Ritter as the super-powered private detective and Mike Colter as Luke Cage in Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones in 2016?

As we previously mentioned, Jessica Jones made her debut in the Alias series by Brian Michael Bendis (Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man) and Michael Gaydos (The Pulse). Because she suffers from post-traumatic stress, Jones gives up her superhero days and becomes the owner at Alias Private Investigations. The Netflix series follows the private eye as she investigates cases of the super-powered kind.

With Colter cast as Carl Lucas, he will indeed show up on the Netflix show. Audiences will be introduced to Luke Cage before he gets his own series.

According to USA Today, Netflix's Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos revealed that Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage and a combined Defenders series will appear at roughly one-year intervals.

Sarandos originally stated, "Jessica Jones hasn't started production yet, so a lot happens from the first day on the set to the last day of production. So we want to give them enough room and enough time to make a great show, so I don't want to set up a rigid timetable and deliver a show every eight months or every twelve months, but you should expect them about a year apart."

Then IGN reports, when asked for confirmation if the show would likely not debut in 2015, Sarandos replied, "It's too hard to say now."

Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones could either show up at the end of 2015 or in 2016. What we do know is that Marvel's Daredevil will air on April 10, 2015.
