If you want to be her lover, you don't have to get with her friends. Katy Perry and John Mayer might have just rekindled their relationship but it seems as though her friends aren't too happy about the pairing.
According to Radar Online, a source explained that Katy has been ignoring her friends who have trying to stop the relationship before it heats up again.
"Although her friends have warned her to be careful, she is already ignoring all of the red flags," an insider revealed to the site. "She is not listening to anyone and is going into this full force."
But it looks like this time could be different as John seemed to be heartbroken when the couple called it quits in February last year. He even tried to start things back up with the "Firework" singer but she didn't give in to his advances until now.
"John pursued Katy relentlessly because it drove him crazy seeing her with Diplo," the site explained of her brief April to October relationship with the DJ.
Katy and John began dating back in August of 2012 before breaking it off in March 2013 and then reuniting a few months later in June. They continued to date until February 2014 when allegations broke that John had been unfaithful.
However, it seems like all that is just water under the bridge as the site reported that Katy is "giving John another chance because she feels like there could be something there."
According to People, the two have even been hanging out a lot lately. They were spotted at dinner together and grabbing drinks together with Girls star Allison Williams. They also were allegedly holed up in Mayer's room at his hotel last week.
