It's being reported that there was a drive-by shooting a little ways outside of Vice President Joe Biden's Delaware home just last night –– Saturday, Jan. 17. A vehicle reportedly drove passed a nearby street some distance away from the VP's home around 8:25 p.m. and unloaded a number of gun shots "from hundreds of yards beyond the Secret Service's perimeter," according to TMZ.
The gossip site reported on the news earlier today, stating that both Biden and his wife were not home, but were immediately briefed on the on what went down. DelawareOnline notes that while they were not at home, the couple were to be in Delaware that weekend.
As mentioned, the shots were fired "hundreds of yards" away from the Vice President's home. It's currently uncertain whether or not any bullets hit his home, but authorities are searching to see.
TMZ is also noting that shortly after the shots were fired, a driver who tried to get past the police perimeter was arrested. News outlets are not certain if this is the same vehicle involved in the drive-by shooting.
