Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer is still in the midst of a cheating scandal that ruined her marriage to Jeremy Calvert, but now, the MTV star is getting political by supporting a cause close to her heart -- the pipeline. However, this has cause outage amongst fans of the reality show.
In her latest posts on Twitter and Facebook, the reality mom added a link to a petition put up by the American Action Network in support of the Keystone Pipeline. According to the petition, the building of the pipeline would create jobs for those like her husband.

"The new conservative majority in Congress is working to pass the Keystone XL Pipeline-but President Obama has pledged to veto the legislation!" the petition says. "The Keystone XL Pipeline will create thousands of good paying jobs-right here in America-and pipelines are proven to be the safest way to transport petroleum."
Many opponents of the bill, including social media followers of the mother-of-three, argue that continuing work on the pipeline would wreak havoc on the environment.
"Actually for the record the only thing that's pissing me off is the fact that all of you would rather have a temporary paycheck then a viable planet for your children to inhabit," Facebook poster Deanna Giuliani wrote. "I can't stand people that are so stupid that they can't look to the future and imagine the long term ramifications of the ridiculous things that happen."
Susan Hanrahan Swisher Ratcliffe wrote, "This needs to be vetoed! A Canadian pipeline, that will only create 35 jobs for Americans, crossing our country with potential environmental disaster. The oil will be sold to other countries. I VOTE NO!!!"
Crystal Emerson agrees as well, posting, "This pipeline WILL be vetoed if it goes across Obama's desk. Thank god. It is NOT worth the damage it will do to our country. The worst part, you think that oil will help gas prices here? No, it won't. It get's shipped overseas to China and so forth. Then if we want any of that gas, we have to pay for it. We get the taxes, the damage to our country, and it will just help big oil profits. 35 permanent jobs are not worth any of this. Also, if they can they will cut those jobs."
As MStars News reported, Leah's support for her husband may be just for the public. While the couple was supposed to be reunited at a New Year's party, the reality star looked "unhappy" and "miserable" with Jeremy.
What do you think of Leah getting political? Do you agree with her?
