50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather Beef: Floyd Remains Positive About Friendship

After a two-month stint in a detention center in Las Vegas, Floyd Mayweather has remained positive while his "friend" Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has been making his radio rounds discussing about their relationship. Jackson has gone onto several recent radio appearances to discuss about Mayweather's personality change, and in his quest of becoming a boxing promoter, Jackson confirmed that he will work alongside Mayweather's boxing enemy and longtime rival Manny Pacquiao.  

Mayweather recently told Fight Hype, "It's not that we're beefin'. You gotta realize, 50, he travels a lot and he has other stuff, He's got his headphones, he has his energy drink, you know, he makes appearances overseas, so he's very busy, and I'm making a lot of appearances, so a lot of times, two people may not always be on the same page, but that don't mean it's a hate-hate relationship. Everybody wants to see me and 50 bump heads."

Shortly after Jackson went on an interview on the "The Rickey Smiley Show" with a totally different perspective stating,"[The issues between us] really comes from ... everybody around him is waiting on the next time he feels generous. And I have a lot [of money], so I don't wait for nobody. I'll go do what I gotta do. I don't have to sit around and wait for the next time he feels like giving somebody something."

Mayweather believes that his bond with Jackson is genuine and unbreakable no matter how the media perceives it, "Real friends go through ups and downs and I don't believe in putting the media or the public in my business with my friends. So no matter what he said about me, I'm never going to speak negative about him," he said according to Fight Hype.

Although, Mayweather remains positive about their strained relationship, Jackson, proceeds to work with Pacquiao in order to bring Pay-Per-View on a different level while infusing entertainment experiences with mini concerts in between a showcase of two fights instead of four. According to Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz, "I think with 50 Cent, with his entertainment connections and his popularity there, combining that with Manny's popularity and expertise in boxing -we can bring a new flavor to boxing."
