Following her emotional break-up with longtime boyfriend Safaree Samuels, rumors suggest that YMCMB darling Nicki Minaj sparked a whirlwind "rebound" romance with "Buy A Heart" collaborator, Meek Mill. Well, that short-lived fling is apparently over... because Minaj just can't get over the love for her ex-beau!

Just over the weekend, Mill shared this rather cryptic observation on the popular social networking site:
meekmill: "looking at this thot like..."
Several fans initially wondered if he was actually referring to the "Anaconda" twerker. They looked extremely happy and loveable earlier this month while partying with Rick Ross and his main squeeze:
iamminglee: "Insert caption below."
But considering how outspoken the former "American Idol" diva is, she didn't hold back after Mill's blatent diss. She took the rather distasteful "thot" status in total stride:
nickiminaj: "Apply today or check your miles on Thot.com."
Now, the Philly native is ready to refocus on himself and forget the dating drama:
meekmill: "Ima just b a #monster and worry about me... Everything else be throwing me off! #itmakesthingseasier."
Is Mill trying to tear the "Bed Of Lies" beauty back down after her blow-out heartbreak over Samuels? What exactly is he trying to negatively insinuate about the former "American Idol" diva?
The two kept things going on social media:
meekmill: "just do it."
nickiminaj: "[amen]."
Meanwhile, the alleged drama surrounding Minaj and Mill's baby mama continues...

Things eventually simmered-down on Instagram, but here's the reason Mill sort of freaked-out. Minaj is still "in love" with her former flame!
Alleged Cash Money "insiders" tell UrbanIslandz that they simply don't trust each other, which puts a strain on the blossoming romance. One source reveals:
"There relationship is still volatile and Nicki is still in love with SB, so that is making it hard for her to move on with Meek... Nicki did contact Safaree and Meek is starting to feel like they will get back together and [it] left him in the cold, so he is protecting heart."
In fact, Minaj took a quick trip from New York back to LA on her private jet on Monday (January 19), perhaps to escape some of the drama:
