Bones reached a major milestone with its 200th episode during this season 10 on FOX. Will Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) and Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) finish off their streak with their Season 11, which could be their final farewell to viewers?
As we previously mentioned, the Jeffersonian team lost a longtime member, while adding a new one simultaneously. The tenth season premiere started with a shocker as Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley) met the Grim Reaper while trying to clear Booth's name. In the aftermath, Sweets' funeral was a way for the cast to say goodbye and introduce themselves to newcomer FBI Agent James Aubrey (John Boyd), Sweets' successor. Aubrey has a long road ahead of him as he tries to earn Booth's trust.
According to Zap2it, FOX chairman and CEO Dana Walden reveals contract talks have already begun for one more season, "On Bones, we are at the end of our deal with Emily and David and we have started conversations with them and we're very hopeful that Bones will return. We can't announce it today because deals aren't closed, but we love the show. It's been so meaningful to the studio and nothing would make us happier than doing another year"
Co-chairman and CEO Gary Newman adds, "I think that it's likely to be a one-season conversation at this point, which I think makes them more comfortable and I think probably makes sense for the network as well."

As we previously mentioned, when the show returns, Booth and Brennan will discover a big secret from Angela (Michaela Conlin)'s past, such as her real name, when she goes undercover. Also, Booth and Brenna will have to save Arastoo Vaziri (Pej Vahdat), who has been taken as a political prisoner in Iran. The trio will have to solve a "particularly sensitive murder" before he can be released.
There may be more baby news underway for Booth and Brennan as the Bones writing team will put in Deschanel's real-life pregnancy into the series' upcoming storyline. A representative for the Glory Road actress confirms that she and husband David Hornsby are expecting their second.
Bones returns Thursday, March 26 at 8pm on Fox. Readers, do you think season 11 should be their swan song?
