Scoot McNairy will appear in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, but fans have no idea who he will play. And it appears McNairy isn't offering any details.
The actor spoke to USA Today and praised director Zack Snyder. "[He's] an incredible filmmaker and an incredible visionary," he said.
McNairy also talked about acting in a comic book movie. "Playing in that world with comic books you've been readings since you were a kid, being someone in that world, it's awesome," he said.
But what about the role itself? McNairy wouldn't budge. "It's definitely 100% a character I've never played and I can't speak too freely on it, but yeah, getting into that thing was definitely something I had to wrap my head around emotionally in order to play that character," he said. "But with that being said, I had a lot of fun doing it when I was in the process of shooting on it - my head was in a different place but I'm really excited to see how it turns out and what they do with it and see the film."
In related news, fight choreographer Guillermo Grispo recently teased this showdown in an interview with Spanish website Los Andes Diario. Batman-News discovered the interview.
"How was it to prepare the fights between Batman and Superman?
I was fascinated. I'm telling you, for me, I like both of the characters, but Batman I really love. In 2007 I almost worked on the second part of Christopher Nolan's trilogy, but ultimately questions about the contract were not resolved and it all fell apart. Luckily, afterwards Zack brought Batman into this project, making it an origin of the Justice League. Which means being in charge of the entire franchise and all the sequels that will be Zack's next projects.
Whom do you think McNairy would play in Dawn of Justice? Let us know in the comments section.
