It looks like the ladies of SWV are done with their former songwriter, and producer, oh, and Taj's ex-lover, Kenny Ortiz. Wednesday night was full of drama for the ladies of SWV, as they had to walk out of Ortiz for his lack of producing, but let's start from the beginning of the show.
In Wednesday night's episode, it was all chaos as the ladies had a rehearsal, Taj's wedding, and Lelee's uncle's funeral.
It was the ladies first time performing their hit song, "Downtown" in years as Taj revealed to her husband, former NFL star, Eddie George, "you always pushing my head downtown," joking as they talk about their wedding renewal ceremony.
In another scene, the ladies enjoyed a cellulite spa day to gear up for Taj's big day, as Coko endured the pain of beauty first.
Things become crazy after Lelee revealed that she ran into Kenny Ortiz and that he wanted to work with the ladies once again. If you are a fan of the show, then you probably remember us telling you about Kenny and Taj's love affair 20 years ago.
It was when Taj decided to meet with her ex-fling during a lunch that things got crazy. Oritiz told her, "I care about you," in an attempt to work his way back into her heart in order to get a job.
Taj's reply? "What he did 20 years ago is not going to get him a job." Then the two revealed that they were insulted by each other's behaviors and attitudes.
Taj chimed back in with, "You just want to step back in like nothing happened," to which Kenny replied, "It's buisness...all you have to do is just listen, the songs are bullet proof."
By the time the lunch was over, Taj had decided to give him a second chance to do some songs for SWV's new album.
Meanwhile, Taj had a party to be worried about, as Lelee (the wild one of the trio) is who planned her bachelorette party. Boy did things get freaky!
In the words of Coko, "That girl is a nasty freak." And the strippers soon followed. "I should've known it would be off the chain," Coko said.
Mind you, the ladies had a rehearsal the day after the bachelorette party.
During the rehearsal, things got serious. As they started singing their hit, "Downtown," Lelee got a phone call from her cousin who revealed that her uncle, Uncle Chuck, had died.
"This really sucks, some of the advice he gave me helped me become the woman I am today," Lelee said of her uncle.
As Lelee went back to NYC, Coko stepped in to fill in for her as maid of honor. This time around, Taj and Eddie's wedding was smaller than their first wedding. The ceremony was held at the Edgefield Manor and the wedding colors were purple. Taj wore a one shoulder lace gown and was walked down the aisle by her son, Eriq. The couple's vows was a tearful scene as Eddie said: "You have been the foundation of this family, I thank you for the first 10 years."
Taj said to her husband, "I never had so much stability in my life, you are my everything, more then I can breathe."
Meanwhile, after the wedding, Lelee called to check up on the ladies to see how the wedding went. During the reception Coko, who didn't attend Taj's first wedding because of their band breakup back, shared, "We had ups and downs but I'm looking forward to us staying up."
Later on, Cory tried to apologize to Taj as the group met back up with Kenny. During the meeting Taj said, "Cory is trying to apologize, but I don't know if I will ever forgive him."
When they met to discuss the new music, Kenny played his music ideas and it seemed like no one was feeling what he has produced. The track didn't fit with the girls and they claimed it was showcased for only Coko and not all three of the women.
"That song was wack," Lelee said. "What about all of us?" Taj asked Kenny. Despite not being on good terms with the girls, Cory stepped in and said, "What do you feel like you can do that we haven't done."
Kenny claimed that the girls have to use him to help "get their fans back."
The drama got heated as Kenny threw Taj under the bus and begged for the girls to give him shot. But it seems the team wasn't having it and didn't want to work with Kenny.
"I knew this was going to be a bad idea," Lelee said as Cory asked, "for the last 17 years where were you at?"
Kenny claimed that he is helping the ladies out for free and everyone went back and forth until Cory told the girls to get up because they had another meeting to be at.
It seemed that Cory's actions helped make Taj forgive him.
"You had SWV's back, I appreciate you for stepping up for us, " Taj said.
In the next episode things will get a little crazy as Lelee thinks she is pregnant and Taj loses her voice. Don't forget to tune in to next week's episode of SWV: Reunited, Wednesdays 10pm/9c.
