Kanye West recently made a surprise guest appearance at the iHeartMedia Music Summit in Burbank, California. And yes - an epic new collaboration with Rihanna will be featured on Yeezy's highly-anticipated seventh studio album!
According to Billboard.com, Kim Kardashian's outspoken beau hopped onstage and made an impromptu speech that lasted approximately 45 minutes. Check out the highlights of Yeezy's rather enthralling discussion here. He talked in great length about working with Beatles legend Paul McCartney on the beautiful hit tune "Only One."
But before leaving the pumped-up crowd, West premiered a snippet from one of his new tracks. According to Billboard insiders who attended the event:
He finished by playing one new song: a duet with Rihanna (title unknown) that featured acoustic guitar and a big, soaring chorus and melody with a massive hook. He then slammed his laptop shut and walked offstage to a standing ovation.
Pretty exciting stuff - RiRi and the "Gold Digger" emcee really impressed fans with their dance-worthy 2010 collaboration with Kid Cudi entitled "All The Lights." Can't wait to see what this next project now has to offer:
Rumors suggest that the song may all feature McCartney and LA-native, Ty Dolla $ign. Earlier this month, the aspiring emcee also told Billboard:
"Me, Rihanna, 'Ye and Paul [Mc Cartney] got a song about to drop as well," Ty Dolla $ign said. "It's gonna drop soon. I heard they shot the video recently. I don't know what the final title is, but I know it's crazy, so just be looking out for [it]."
Stay tuned! Yeezy's highly-anticipated upcoming record does not have an official title or release date yet, but it's coming...
Hopefully a clip from West's little industry event "teaser" hits the web soon! Come on Rihanna, help us out!
