Fans of the all-girl pop group Fifth Harmony are extremely loyal - so don't you dare talk "smack" about the "Sledgehammer" ladies!
In a recent interview with The Vamps, singer James McVey was asked about his former relationship with Lauren Jauregui. The boys began sarcastically chiming-in and started having some fun with it. McVey allegedly stated,“I haven’t dated her for a while." Then bandmate Tristan Evans added, “It was April to December." But here's what ignited the drama - James finished-off with, “We’ve all had a bit of a go."
Sounds sort of scandelous... like 18-year-old Jauregui "had a (sexy) go" with each member of the band.
Not true! Still, fans totally freaked-out on Twitter. The hashtags #LaurenIsOurPrincess and #LaurenDefenseSquad quickly began trending on the popular social networking site:

@arislilredthang: "not in the 5H fandom but Lauren is so beautiful and doesn't deserve to be treated the way she has #LaurenIsOurPrincess."

Things got so heated, McVey eventually had to explain himself on Thursday (January 22):
@TheVampsJames: "Ouchieeeee. Totally misinterpreted there folks... I'm sorry if people have been offended. I was joking that we all think that..."
@TheVampsJames: "The band were all attractive, and we tried to flirt at the start. I failed, clearly. I meant we all 'had a go' at flirting."

Oops! Now he's really trying to make amends! Do 5H supports forgive McVey for the misunderstanding?
Well, Jauregui later responded with:
@LaurenJauregui: "I just realized how out of Twitter universe I've been... Anyhoo, I did see what you little rascals trended and I just want you to know I love you all verrrrrry much and it means a lol."
The Twitter drama will likely blow-over soon. In the meantime...
