We all might have survived the 2015 blizzard, but it seems that some of us fared better than others. While we were having movie marathons with our besties in our PJs, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice was battling sewage problems in her Danbury Connecticut prison. Just like a scene out of Orange is the New Black, the blizzard caused the sewage system to back up.
According to Radar Online, the prison has some issues with their sewages system especially when it storms. Former prison inmates spoke out to the news site about the conditions of the prison during severe weather explaining how it is less than stellar.
"There is a huge problem with the sewers at Danbury backing up and overflowing into the kitchen following heavy flooding, such as there will be during this blizzard right now," a former prison inmate told the site. "Although they send people to mop it up, they don't give them boots. Sometimes they will have gloves, but sometimes they won't."
That's not all! The former prison survivor also explained that since the inmates don't wear boots or shoes to clean up the mess, that they end up trekking, "the raw sewage all around the prison grounds after they are done."
However, it doesn't seem like Teresa would have to clean up the sewage should it have leaked during the storm, as SheKnows, reported that Teresa is getting some special treatment in prison, including "constant contact with her kids," "fun family visits," "beauty tips and priming," as well as being served her food first.
