Screenwriter Neil Druckmann this week revealed that his The Last of US movie script will have some big changes from the incredibly popular Naughty Dog video game of 2013, but also stay faithful in a way. Speaking with Game Informer this week, the screenwriter was able to share some information on how the story of the video game has changed in the movie adaptation, but also stayed faithful.
"There's some big changes, but the tone and what the story's trying to say is pretty faithful to the game," Druckmann said.

Just last month, Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams revealed that she's very close to officially joining the project.
"There was a whole thing that went on Twitter [of fans suggesting me for the role]," the young actress said last year. "I didn't know a lot about [the game]. I Googled it. Ashley Johnson - who did Ellie's voice - [fans] asked her what she thought of me and she said, 'That's pretty much my dream.' I don't follow her but I was silently stalking her wondering what she thought of all this."
