Tia Mowry-Hardrict is back in action and enjoying her new role as a mother on the new Nickelodeon series Instant Mom. But Mowry, a mother in real life, says balancing her career, motherhood, and wife duties is a challenge. Mowry makes sure to let her fans know that life should be taken one day at a time.
According to Mowry's interview with the website, CupidsPulse, the actress said that when it comes to achieving balance, “Be honest with yourself. In my opinion, there’s no such thing as balance! Some days, you’re going to be a better mom than other days."
She noted that her husband, actor Cory Hardrict makes married life pretty smooth. “My husband is extremely considerate…and that’s better than receiving flowers on Valentine’s Day!"
If you asked the star what is her favorite date night with Cory, Tia says: "It's when we both get dressed up and get sexy for ourselves, for each other. I put on my really nice, sexy dress and red lipstick, and my husband puts on a really nice suit. Then, we go to our favorite restaurant...and really have a great meal and have a great glass of wine."
Both Tia and her twin sister Tamera Mowry-Housley started their careers in showbiz on the hit '90s show Sister, Sister. Now with both of the young women being mothers, and Tamera expecting her second child (a baby girl in July with her husband Adam Housley) Tia says motherhood has changed her career: "I really like choosing projects where I can take my personal experience and apply it to whatever role I take on, hence Instant Mom."
When it comes to parenting, Tia says, "I have a three-and-a-half year old at home, but I still consider myself a new mom. I'm still learning new things."
Besides acting, Tia is also active with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Honeywell called the KidSmartz "Safety Dance" contest.
She says that she joined KidSmartz because when: "You become a mother, you’re constantly worrying. My child’s safety is my number one priority”
