It's finally that time of year - hockey season!
The Montreal Canadiens battle it out on the ice against the New York Rangers in Week 16 of the NHL regular season on Thursday, January 29 at 7:00 p.m. EST at NYC's legendary Madison Square Garden. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the Thursday night hockey game online and catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.
Following the first few opening weeks of the 2014-2015 regular season, the Canadiens snag the impressive No. 8 spot in Pierre LeBrun's official NHL power ranking for ESPN.com with a 30-13-3 record:
"Went into the break with wins over the Islanders and Predators. And yet still people question this team, in part because of what the analytics say. When Carey Price is in goal, it doesn't matter what the analytics say. Hart Trophy winner? At this point, maybe."
Meanwhile, the Rangers currently hold the equally awesome No. 5 spot (out of 30 total teams) with a 27-14-4 record. According to LeBrun:
"This is the team that comes up the most when I ask Western Conference team execs about the Eastern club that scares them the most."
The game will be broadcasted live on local channels RDS and MSG+, but fans can also listen in on the radio at 98,5 FM, TSN 690, KTUI-FM, and ESPN NY.
