'Honey Boo Boo' Wedding: Uncle Poodle and Boyfriend Married but Won't Air, TLC Season Five Canceled After Mama June Molestation Scandal

One of the most anticipated TV weddings has been left on the cutting room floor. Before the much-beloved TLC series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was canceled, due to Mama June Shannon being seen with child molester Mark McDaniels, there was a whole fifth season that was filmed, which even included a wedding between breakout star Lee "Uncle Poodle" Thompson and his fiance Alan Stevenson. Not only would this have been one of the first reality TV shows to feature two men getting married, but it would have been a pretty great finale for Season 5. But with the series having been debunked since then, it doesn't seem that the gay wedding will ever air.

According to Radar Online, the series was officially canceled by TLC Oct. 24, which was eight days after Poodle and Stevenson tied-the-knot, in a Georgia ceremony. But,it doesn't seem like the pair are too heartbroken that the footage won't make it to air, as they revealed that the network was mostly behind the wedding planning and that it wasn't really what they wanted.

"It was not what they wanted and didn't represent who they were," a source said of the ceremony, adding, "it was thrown together last minute by TLC. There were only four days to prepare."

But the silver lining in this situation, if there even is one, is that because same-sex marriage hasn't yet been legalized in Georgia, the couple is looking to get married again but this time in a more personal ceremony.

"Lee and Alan are now planning a more heartfelt ceremony," the insider explained. "They just have to find the right time and places!"

But it doesn't seem like Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson will be the flower girl at the next wedding, as SheKnows is reporting that June has put her foot down and is forbidding Uncle Poodle from having contact with his niece, which makes sense after he has been bashing the family on his Twitter and Facebook accounts.

"Lee has not seen Alana since the whole scandal started in October. June banished Lee from the family, even the girls," a source told Radar. "She blames him for all the family's fans turning on her."

Well, congrats to Uncle Poodle and Alan, anyway.
