As The Wrap report, Shelton will play Wyatt Earp in Sandler's first film as part of his four-film deal with Netflix which was announced last year. A comedic spoof of "ensemble Westerns like The Magnificent Seven," Ridiculous 6 will also star former SNL stars Chris Parnell and Jon Lovitz, as well as Lavell Crawford from Breaking Bad.

Ridiculous 6 is set to begin filming in February and Sandler, who will also direct, plays a man "who grew up as an orphan among an Indian tribe," says The Wrap. They add that "Lautner, Schneider, Wilson and Crews are poised to play his half-brothers, while the final half-brother has yet to be cast." Note will reportedly play Sandler's father.

As Mstars News reported, Shelton displayed some pretty fine acting chops as the host and musical guest of SNL last week. In the episode he took on The Bachelor's Chris Soules in Farm Hunk, and played himself perfectly in a parody Celebrity Family Feud showdown with American Idol.
Bringing Back the Sunshine is Shelton's eighth studio album, and was released on Sep. 30 2014.
