Grey's Anatomy Divorce Scandal: Patrick Dempsey Wears Wedding Band a Week After Jillian Fink Files for Divorce

It's been a sad week for Patrick Dempsey, as the Grey's Anatomy star and his wife Jillian Fink has decided to call it quits. However, a week after his wife filed for divorce, Dempsey is still not ready to let go of the marriage, as he was just spotted running on the beach with his wedding ring on. The 49-year-old may be still holding out hope that him and his wife of 15 years can work things out.

And it seems that working it out is just what Dempsey wants to do. A source close to the actor explained to People magazine in their Feb, 9 issue that he never wanted to go through a divorce again after his marriage to Rocky Parker fell apart in 1994.

"He was married and divorced before and he has said he never wanted a divorce again because of his kids."

However, despite their separation, it doesn't seem it is too surprising to those that were close to the couple, as insiders told People, "It's been a long time coming. They have lived separate lives for years."

The couple official announced that they were splitting on Jan. 23, when they released a joint statement, according to E! News.

"It is with careful consideration and mutual respect that we have decided to end our marriage," Dempsey and Fink explained. "Our primary concern remains the well-being of our children, and we ask with profound gratitude that you respect our family's privacy at this very sensitive time."

The site is also reporting that the divorce seems to be amicable, but we can't help but wonder why Dempsey is still wearing his wedding ring.
