'Dancing With The Stars: All -Stars' Season 15 Premiere 2012 Recap [DETAILS]

The two- hour premiere of "Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars" premiered on Sept. 24 on ABC and here is a recap of everything there was to see on the big night.

Kicking off the all-star season was Joey Fatone and his partner Kim Johnson performing the Cha-cha-cha.

Fatone came in as runner up to Apolo Anton Ohno in 2007, one of the many stars returning that made it to their former season's finals.

"I'll do whatever it takes to win that mirror ball trophy," Fatone said.

Before his scores was revealed, head judge Len Goodman said that judging this season was going to be a bit tougher because the dancers were all-stars. Also, a new scoring was put into place: judges can now put in half points. Viewers can also vote on Facebook this time around.

Fatone got raves from the judges for being a good performer and Carrie Ann Inaba said to him, "I love watching you dance, overall spectacular start." The judges did state, however, that his posture was not that great, along with his footwork.

Fatone's scores: 6.5, 7, 7 (20.5 out of 30).

Shawn Johnson danced second. The champion of season eight retired from gymnastics recently at the age of 20, right before the 2012 Olympics. Johnson is also the youngest competitor in the competition. She danced the Foxtrot to Owl City's "Good Time" with her partner Derek Hough, a three-time "DWTS" champion.

One of the judges said, "it didn't feel like a foxtrot and that disappointed me. However, you're a good dancer." Shawn and Derek scored 8, 6.5 and 7.5 (22 out of 30).

One all-star will be eliminated on Tuesday night.

The third dancer was Sabrina Bryan from season 5 who was eliminated week 6 last time. She did a Cha- cha-cha with Louis Van Amstel to One Direction's "What Makes You beautiful." Carrie Ann Inaba said, "you are on fire. You kicked that dance's booty. You are incredible."

Len Goodman said, "clean and precise. But needs finesse. But I liked it." Bryan got 7.5 from all three judges (22.5 out of 30).

Racecar driver Hulio Castroneves, won season 5. He danced a Foxtrot next with Chelsie Hightower and got a standing ovation even before he started dancing. Goodman said "it was good" but all three judges agreed that he did mess up quite a bit. He scored 7, 7.5, 7 (21.5 out of 30).

"Baywatch" star Pamela Anderson from season 10 was next. She said she feels like an "underdog," especially because she is one of two show's contestants to never make it to the finals before. Her Cha-cha-cha got Bruno Tonioli to say, "you're a performer but not enough work there for me to praise you. You are very entertaining but you need to work harder." She scored 5.5,5.5,6 (17 out of 30) and afterwards said,  "I don't want to be the first one to cry on 'Dancing with the Stars,' " though she looked like she was going to.

TV host Melissa Rycroft from season eight was next. She came in third place last time competing with Tony Devolani and she has the same partner this time around.

 "I'm coming in with my fists out and I'm going I want this I want this. I gotta knock a lot of good people out of the way." She did the Foxtrot to "Big Spender" and Inaba said, "you have the most exquisite lines but need more body contact." Goodman said it was too theatrical and Bruno said it had "silk, smooth fluidity.  Scores were 7,7,7.

Speedskater Ohno, the season four champion, danced next with the season 12 champion Karina Smirnoff. His Cha-cha-cha to "Party Rock Anthem " got Goodman to say, "in Olympic terms, wasn't gold medal performance. Was a bronze medal performance.

Inaba said, "Is it just me or did you get 3,000 times more sexy... excellent hip action." Ohno scored 7.5, 7 and 7.5 (22 out of 30).

Actor Gilles Marini, who was a seasons eight finalist danced next with reigning champion Peta Murgatroy. His Foxtrot had "gloss and glamour" and was "technically so good," according to the judges.  

 "I missed you. I think we all did, " Inaba said. He scored  8, 8 and 8 (24 out of 30) - the highest score so far out that evening.

Season 11 reality star Bristol Palin and two -time star Mark Ballas were back together and danced next. They did a Cha- cha- cha to Pink's "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)."

Inaba said, "I vote you most improved from last time we saw you." The judges also praised her confidence. She got 6.5, 6.5,6.5 (19.5 out of 30).

Drew Lachey and Anna Trebunskaya were next. Lachey won season two and Trebunskaya came in second place. Their Foxtrot to Sara Barellis' "Love Song" got audiences screaming.

"Your neat and precise. Just soften up the arms, relax more," Goodman said. They got 7, 7 and 7.5 (22.5 out of 30).

Soap opera star Kelly Monaco won season 1 and was back with Valentin Chmerkovskiy.  Bruno said to Monaco, "you were sexier and hotter than ever. You've never done this dance before and you were a stunner."  Inaba said the pair has "insane chemistry." They scored 7,7 and 7.5 (21.5 out of 30).

From season 12, Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy waent next. They came in second place in their season and Alley said she "developed a great friendship" with her partner. Their Foxtrot was called beautiful and sensual by Inaba, though it needed refining.

Alley kissed Tom Bergeron on the lips when he asked her to go get her scores, which were 6.5,6 and 6.5 (19 out of 30).

Sports legend Emmett Smith danced with Cheryl Burke last. The pair were together in season 3 and took home the mirror ball trophy, and want to do it again.  Smith was nicknamed "Twinkle Toes" last time and Monday's performance got the judges saying he had flair, "truck loads of charisma" and "you were born to dance." They scored 8, 8.5 and 8 (24.5 out of 30) - the highest scores of the night.
