Jay Z and Beyonce, music's most powerful couple, are reportedly trading in deadly roadside ice-slush lakes for sunshine, and leaving New York City and moving to Los Angeles. The "Drunk In Love" pair are heading west at the behest of sometime-actress Gwyneth Paltrow and for their 3 year old daughter, Blue Ivy, who is already enrolled at an "elite private school's toddler program. There's no word yet on whether or not they're making a reality TV version of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, or if Jay Z will now pen a song called "Los Angeles State of Mind" where he raps about getting an STI and eventually going into porn.

As US Weekly report, the power couple are "making L.A. their permanent home based a lot on the advice of their friends," according to a mysterious source. "The friend that really influenced them to move was Gwyneth Paltrow. Gwyneth was telling Jay and Bey about the quality of life for her kids in L.A. and really swayed Beyonce and Jay to make the move. It's all for Blue Ivy."
Gossip site TMZ report that Bey and Jay are already living in LA, decamping from freezing New York and living large in a Beverly Hills hotel and "actively looking for an estate to buy on the westside of L.A., which includes Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills and Bel-Air."
They add that Blue Ivy has been admitted into an elite private school's toddler program, which costs a reported $15,080 per year. Apparently mid-year enrollments are unusual, but as Page Six point out, "who's going to say "no" to Beyoncé and Jay Z?"
Good point.
$15K/yr for pre-school? That sounds like a bargain based on what it costs just to get a nanny share in Bklyn! https://t.co/x4JRJoSv9L

Gothamist jokes that perhaps Jay Z is "being run out of town by Russian gangsters who are upset with the implosion of the Nyets," who Jay Z used to own a minuscule percentage of before starting his own athlete management agency and signing names like reigning NBA MVP Kevin Durant.
In the meantime looks like Beyonce will have plenty more opportunities to make GoPro film clips. There's no report on if either of them at any stage told a cabbie, "Yo homes, to Bel-Air."
