"We Bruins now." Snoop Dogg's son Cordell Broadus has announced that he's committed to attend UCLA next year.... Unfortunately, his rapper dad is a longtime fan of hated rival USC. Cordell, according to ESPN the 14th ranked wide receiver in this year's college recruiting class -- and 130th overall - gives UCLA an "elite receiver"... and presumably some worthy pre and halftime entertainment options, leaving USC out in the cold with only PDAs between Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger.

"I feel that UCLA is the best fit for me," ESPN report Broadus as saying during his announcement on ESPNU. "I had the offer since my nine-grade year, so I had a great connection with the coaches," the 17 year old revealed.

"I just want to play in front of my family and keep ballin' out on the field and get a great degree."
The Bishop Gorman High School, Las Vegas, product had apparently also fielded offers from other powerhouse programs including Arizona State, Baylor, LSU and USC, but chose to remain close to home.
As for how his dad Snoop feels, the "Gin & Juice" rapper told ESPN "It's been awesome just watching him step into manhood and make a decision that he's comfortable with. We Bruins now."

"It's been about what matters most to him," said the "Drop It Like It's Hot" rapper, "which is getting that education and what's going to be there when football is over with. UCLA presented the best platform for him that we thought, as a family, that was going to look out for him when his career was over with. And that's what's important, to make sure he gets a degree and gets an education; football's not going to be there for ever, but life is. And you gotta make sure you prepare for life."
To be clear, Snoop Dogg didn't go to USC. Just a fan. Dr. Dre may have gotten a PhD there, not sure tho.

TMZ report Snoop as saying "I'm gonna back him up 100% ... so I'm throwing out my USC drawers."
The gossip site also point out that Broadus will being joining other rapping royalty, as he'll be playing on the same team as Diddy's son, Justin Combs. Justin is a defensive back for the Bruins.
Cordell and his father Snoop were also at the center of a documentary detailing his recruitment process for ESPN, called Snoop & Son. Check out a snippet of it below.
