The first trailer for producer Sam Raimi and director Gil Kenan's 2015 Poltergeist remake debuted this week, and boy is it a scary one! Starring Rosemarie DeWitt, Sam Rockwell and Jared Harris, this modern take on the classic horror movie is sure to scare a whole new generation of moviegoers when it hits theaters in 3D on July 24. Before we show you the first trailer for the highly anticipated remake, a recent interview with Rockwell has us a bit confused. The actor explained that the film was more of a kids' movie rather than a horror flick.
"The 10-year-old boy is really the protagonist this time. JoBeth Williams was the protagonist for the most part in the first one and now the kid, it's really through his point-of-view," the actor said in an interview with Collider last month. "So it's more of a kids' movie so I don't know if it's gonna be like rated-R scary."
