Fans of The View were happy today to see that one of their own has made her triumphant return to the series. Rosie Perez, who has been taking time out from the ABC talk show to work on a play, rejoined the cast today. Guest hosts including Naya Rivera, as well as others, have helped to fill the void left by Perez, as she has been working on a new play called Fish in the Dark with actress Rita Wilson.

According to The New York Daily News, there were reports that were circulating stating that Perez's month-long absence was going to be permanent, as she didn't want to return to the series. However, her fellow cohosts were quick to dismiss these reports, saying that she would definitely be making her way back to the round table.

It seemed that everyone was happy to see Perez return as she was greeted with a huge applause from the audience, as well as showered with confetti, when she walked back on the stage.

While there has been a lot of speculation that there is fighting amongst the girls behind-the-scenes, Whoopi seemed more than happy to have the original four girls back together again, according to USA Today.

"We are back as we were originally," Goldberg explained of the foursome being back together. "This is The View."

Whoopi also addressed some of the rumors that have been making there way around the Internet, regarding quitting and firing amongst the panel.

"I think something should be said about the four of us being together," Whoopi explained. "You've heard a lot of rumors. You've read a lot of rumors, But, we, the four of us are here. This is The View, ya'll."
