Scandal star Scott Foley has a very particular way he entertains star Kerry Washington and the rest of the ABC hit's crew: flatulence noises. Appearing on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! Foley also explained how he got into a Twitter flame war with Star Trek legend William Shatner after some tweets about Scandal's Fox competitor Backstrom where Shatner used some "bad names."

Foley explained to Kimmel how his character on Scandal screwed up and misplaced Olivia Pope (Washington) in the Season 4 series return, adding that the Scandal crew are super tight and that they watch the show together. He added, though, that the show can still get quite intense and that he has an idiosyncratic way to lighten the mood on the Scandal set.

Just how he gets everyone to relax will put a grin on your face. Turns out, though, that Kerry Washington and the rest of the cast "get a kick out of it."
Foley also explained how the Twitter flame war with William Shatner kicked off.
"We do this live tweet with our fans," said Foley, "and a lot of other shows have started doing it as we were one of the first to do it. There's a show on called Backstrom, and they decided to tag me in some of their tweets to bite off some of the Scandal tweeters, try to get some some people tweeting about their show.
"And I sort of dismissed them rudely on Twitter," Foley continued, "and then William Shatner who I don't follow, and who doesn't follow me, jumped into the mix and called us some very bad names, like 'bitches'" laughed the star, who is married to Marika Dominczyk.
"I turned to my wife, and said 'Babe, I'm getting into a twitter fight with William Shatner!'"

After a while, Foley "was looking through google trying to find a bad picture... and then I thought, 'Hold on, this is William Shatner. I gotta let this go. He wins regardless.' It's now a source of pride for me, like, the fact that William Shatner is attacking me is a fantastic thing. He knows who I am!"
