Miley Cyrus to Flaunt New "Bad Girl" Persona in 'Bonnie and Clyde" Lifetime Ministries?

Looks like pop star Miley Cyrus may finally be shedding her innocent "Hannah Montana" image for good and replacing it with a new, rebellious "bad girl" persona - rumors have it that the 20-year-old songstress has been offered the role of infamous criminal Bonnie Parker in a "Bonnie and Clyde" Lifetime channel ministries. The Hollywood Reporter claims that Cyrus is currently in cahoots with the directors of the series that would tell the brazen story of the two notorious outlaws, which would air on both the Lifetime and History networks.

Reps for the "LOL" star have yet to comment on the Bonnie Parker rumors, and casting info on her romantic, gun-toting sidekick Clyde Barrow has yet to be released. "Smash" executive producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan are set to produce the series.

The true story of Bonnie and Clyde has been remade and romanticized in Hollywood a number of times - the duo became notoriously famous after they went on a widespread bank robbery and murder spree in the 1930s along with their anarchic posse. The two were eventually cornered by Louisiana police officials and killed, making for one harrowing and dramatic romance story.

If the Bonnie rumors are true, this will be Cyrus' second big-and-upcoming small screen appearance - she is set to guest-star in a future episode of "Two and a Half Men." She is set to play Missi, the daughter of one of Walden's (Ashton Kutcher) friends who becomes a source of obsession for teenager Jake Harper (played by Angus T. Jones).

The Lifetime channel really seems to be racking up on infamous Hollywood starlets, fellow "bad girl" Lindsay Lohan will star as Elizabeth Taylor in the network's "Liz & Dick" biopic set to premiere in November.
