Several fans (including Kanye West) were NOT impressed when Beck won the 2015 Grammy Award for "Album Of The Year" over fellow nominees Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, and Pharrell Williams. But according to infamous NYC emcee 50 Cent, the Morning Phase rocker deserved the prestigious recognition - and Yeezy should know that!
In a recent interview with People, Fifty explains:
"[Beck] produced his record, wrote the record-there's eleven producers on Beyoncé's album. Kanye being a producer and a writer should see that."
The Get Rich Or Die Tryin' rapper continued:
"I felt that I deserved 'Best New Artist' for my first album - it's the largest debut in rap with 13 million records sold, and when's the last time you ever saw Evanescence? Crickets, crickets. It's just the way it is."
Good point... do MstarsNews readers somewhat agree?
The viral clip was just posted on Youtube February 10 - wonder if West's viewed it yet. Surly Fifty's indirect diss would spark yet another outrageous rant.
Especially after this rather amusing impression of Kim Kardashian's hubby modeling underwear...
Ha.
Amid the nonstop celebrity "feuds" (Taraji P. Henson, Tatted Up Holly...), Fifty continues promoting his own brand. His highly-anticipated upcoming album Street King Immortal will likely feature some hit tunes with longtim industry pal, Eminem. The G-Unit hypeman recently told the New York Daily News:
"Yeah, he [Em] got a new song together on my new album. So you'll get a chance to hear that shortly" (via mtv.com).
He then continued explaining what fans can expect:
"I try to balance the highlights from the past two records. To try to create a different style and the story telling... I'm going to release a date shortly but it's definitely coming out. I pushed it back to release the G-Unit EPs: The Beauty and Beast. It's just now the focus on completing the record for me."
The new record does not have an official release date, but should hit airwaves in 2015.
