The countdown has begun as Marvel's Agent Carter has only 2 episodes left on ABC. As the manhunt for Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) escalates, will Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) suddenly discover she has a "missing brother" in the Marvel Universe looking for her?

In our first recap, Peggy (Atwell) was seen as a hero as she fought bravely in World War II, but her co-workers at the Strategic Scientific Reserve think she's a complete joke. Framed for crimes he didn't commit, Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) needs Peggy to clear his name after his inventions, which he calls "bad babies," have been stolen.

In our recent recap, Carter ended up on the run from her own SSR agents. After coming back for the vial of Steve Rogers (Chris Evans)' blood, Dottie (Bridget Regan) surprised Peggy, kissed her, and knocked her out unconscious. Though the SSR agents rescued her from Dottie, Carter is in lockdown in an interrogation room.

Audiences have met Sharon Carter, Peggy's niece, in Captain America: The Winter Solider. This means somewhere out there Peggy has a brother. In an interview with Hitflix, the First Avenger actress reveals she has done a character study of Carter's family lineage.

Atwell reveals, "I do my own kind of character study of Peggy and I think that she probably comes from some very interesting male-dominated backgrounds where the men in her life saw her as equals. Which is why she doesn't feel that threatened. She knows her place in the world and she knows her skill set based on the background she's had. So that's something of a personal decision I've made."

The Agent Carter actress continues, "My dad always told me that I was really, really smart. He told me I was really smart more than he told me that I was beautiful and I think that's had a huge impact on my life. I imagine that Peggy probably would have had a similar kind of thing - someone in her life as a child that told her she was capable and that's what makes her believe in herself."

Marvel's Agent Carter continues Tuesdays at 9pm on ABC.
