Well folks––tonight is the night! Saturday Night Live will be airing its live 40th anniversary special, beginning at 8 p.m. At 7 p.m., however, NBC will be airing the red carpet event hosted by hosts of the one and only Today Show. Afterwards, the legendary NBC sketch show will take the airwaves for an astounding 3.5 hours, featung the likes of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee host Jerry Seinfeld, Jimmy Fallon, Justin Timberlake, and many, many, many more. And best of all, every minute will be being live streamed via NBC.com!
In fact, NBC has begun tossing up a number of photos of the red carpet on Twitter!
Lorne Michaels, the unflappable boss behind Saturday Night Live who has made things run (kind of) smoothly for the past 40 years – okay ... maybe 35 since he was gone for five of them – has invited just about everyone who has ever appeared on the show to come back for the event. And as you can imagine, they all pretty much flocked at the chance to appear on tonight's legendary event.
