Before the premiere of an all-new episode of The Flash, the CW network has released an all-new featurette and clip. Are Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Martin Stein (Victor Garber), and Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) "at war" with each other and their new threat?
In our previous recap, the Pied Piper explained to Cisco (Carlos Valdes) what happened to Ronnie Raymond (Amell) the night of the particle accelerator explosion. Dr. Martin Stein (Garber) was caught in the accelerator explosion when his mind melded with Ronnie's. Ronnie wasn't even in control when Stein found himself in a younger body.
In our recent recap, Martin/Ronnie's body was going to explode if their temperature didn't cool down. Though Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) was ready to pull the trigger, Caitlin (Panabaker) convinced him to try and save them. Though the quantum splicer was put on Martin/Ronnie, his body couldn't handle it and caused a nuclear explosion.
While the scarlet speedster carried Caitlin away from blast, the nuclear explosion caught the attention of General Wade Eiling (Clancy Brown).
Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg teases, "It's fallout in every sense of the word. There's the nuclear fallout, the explosion that ended episode 14. We find out what happened to Ronnie and Martin Stein; and Caitlin and Barry, who were pretty close to a nuclear explosion."

In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Garber explains the dynamic between Ronnie and Martin, " In my second episode, we come together knowing that we have a responsibility, and we both take that seriously. Frustration happens at first -- where I just say, "You're an idiot, I just want to get out of here" -- but then, as things progress, we realize that we have a responsibility, and we both accept that. From there on, of course, there will be banter and conflicts, which is what makes it fun."
Amell adds in his interview with CBR, "Ronnie lost a year of his life because of S.T.A.R. Labs, and may want to be somewhere else, or try something new. Martin and Ronnie quickly realize, maybe it's better to figure out how to balance the power. At the end of the episode, you really get a taste of what an in-control Firestorm could be."
