Last week, news broke that the upcoming Deadpool movie starring Ryan Reynolds would also feature X-Men character Colossus, leading a lot of fans to wonder if Daniel Cudmore would reprise his role in the film or if another actor would be cast. Well, thanks to Twitter posts by the actor, we now know that the role will be recast and that a new Colossus will debut in 2016.

The news of Colossus being a featured character in Deadpool accompanied the casting news of Gina Carano as Angel Dust, another Marvel Comics character associated with the X-Men. You can read more on this casting news here!
With Colossus returning in Deadpool, Cudmore was flooded with questions from fans, leading to him posting this Twitter message to his followers:

This week, though, he was ready to officially answer his fans' questions. He posted new updates to Twitter, confirming that he won't be portraying Colossus in the new Deadpool movie. Check out his Twitter posts right here:

Cudmore portrayed the powerful mutant that had the abilities to change his skin into steel for many years. He stared as Colossus in X-Men 2, X-Men: The Last Stand, and 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past. He also starred in a number of the Twilight series films.
